Put Your Trust in Him

"Where do I fit?" "How will I find my place?" "Where do I go from here?"

These questions, and many more like them, come to all of us at one point or another in our lives. What is the right thing to do? Which fork should you take in your journey through life?

"...whosoever putteth his trust in him the same shall be lifted up at the last day" (Mosiah 23:22). Lifted up in exaltation, but also lifted up from beneath crushing trials? Lifted up into peace of mind when it seems as though you are drowning in depression and worry and doubt?

This scripture obviously alludes to the last day when Christ shall come again and the Resurrection will occur, but I know that Heavenly Father does buoy up His servants in their hard times if they are putting their trust in Him.

Use Him as your life preserver, let Him keep you afloat and your head above water. Put your trust in Him and He will not let you drown.

"...they were brought into bondage, and none could deliver them but the Lord their God..." (Mosiah 23:23).

Hush your fears, as did the people of Alma in the land of Helam, and remember the Lord your God, and cry unto Him, and you need no longer be afraid.

"Lift up your heads and be of good comfort, for I know of the covenant which ye have made unto me; and I will covenant with my people and deliver them out of bondage. And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs..." (Mosiah 24:13-14).

Have faith and patience. I know you will come to be rewarded for it.

"He is perfectly positioned to lift us and give us the strength we need to endure our afflictions. We have only to ask." -Dallin H. Oaks
